Therapeutic Retreat The therapeutic retreat is meant for people with chronic diseases, with life threatening diseases or for people with mental instabilities. In the beautiful, protected and quiet setting of Pleroma Farm you are invited to participate in the treatment of your disease and to restore your mental balance. Dr. Ana Lups M.D. makes a treatment plan for each individual patient, based on a holistic understanding of the person involved. Through Anthroposophy we know how closely knit the ties are between our soul processes, our biographical unfolding and the actual manifestations of a disease. The choice of the therapeutic route reflects this insight. Treatments that can be prescribed and which are available on Pleroma Farm include: Therapeutic eurythmy Rhythmical massage Music therapy Color therapy Biographical counseling Developmental counseling Participation in the farm work. Retreats last between one and four weeks, depending on your needs. Interested? Contact us by calling 518-828-3292 or email us through this website. The treatment. Dr. Ana Lups MD (internist and cardiologist) works out of her office on Pleroma Farm. She predominantly prescribes homeopathic remedies developed out of anthroposophical viewpoints. Remedies are directed to help you bring greater organization into your bodies processes. Other treatment she prescribes include spectro-chromo therapy, hydro-therapy, eurythmy therapy, massages, IV therapy and biographical counseling. Our forty day intensive retreat. Especially for young adults who have experienced mental instabilities, we created a forty day retreat. During the retreat intensive counseling sessions take place, typically once every workday. Also the participation in the farm work is intensified through one-on-one accompaniment. We strongly advise all who participate to limit communication with the outside world to writing letters via regular mail. The intensive treatment and the seclusion from the outside world create a space in which we can find insight in our individuality. It affords room to learn what our sincerest intentions are and how to apply these in life. Usually the forty day intensive retreat is followed by several months of stay at Pleroma Farm during which a more open relationship to the outside world is encouraged. |
